A Marie Antoinette Cosplay Ready For a Royal Ball

Cosplayer Lady Icellina spent 15 months creating this masterpiece of a cosplay.

This Marie Antoinette cosplay (from the Rose of Versailles musical for Takarazuka Review by Shinji Ueda) by Lady Icellina is truly spectacular. Made with Red Velveteen, custom appliqués, and beaded with over 4,000 beads and crystals, this gem has taken over 15 months to recreate. All appliqués are custom designed and hand sequined. The wig is styled using period techniques and showcases a decorative feathers, antique jewelry, and a small model ship.

She's extremely proud of her skills that she developed while following the stage production's techniques. Now that it's finished she's proud to show it once more. The biggest obstacle in this cosplay was the massive hoop skirt fitting in her compact car and people asking her for cake. Regardless of having cake or not, this cosplay is extremely detailed and has some incredible craftsmanship that was put into it. We especially love the wig styling with the little ship model, as well as all the embroidery work throughout the gown.
