The costumes in the Outlander series, particularly Claire's wedding dress and the Paris Costumes, inspired cosplayer Teri Biglands to design her own original creation.

Teri's gown is made of Silk and Tartan Wool. The embroidery work is done by hand using silk threads, and took approximately 250 hours to complete. The pleating at the bottom of the gown used 5 yards of Silk . The gown has approximately 20 total yards of fabric, and took a total of 450 hours to complete.
