Crown Championships Of Cosplay: Rathalos Monster Hunter Cosplay
Australia winner Altf4Cosplay as the Rathalos armor set from Monster Hunter: World.
This costume was made over the course of 3 months, using various techniques. The armor pieces were constructed using EVA foam for the base and thousands of hand crafted foam scales, primed with flexbond and then airbrushed with different shades of blue and gunmetal silver. The leather details and belts were made using a mixture of veg tan, hand dyed leather and pre dyed off cuts and various buckles and 3d printed attatchments. The imitation chainmaille was created using an imported fine silver knit fabric, sewn into a shirt. The weapons were fabricated using a mixture of EVA foam and 3d printed parts, finished with more airbrushing and weathering.
