This Gengar Costume Is The Ultimate Pokemon Cosplay

Sara Spookystitch's Pokemon cosplay is truly a sight to behold.

Have you ever seen a life size Pokemon before? We certainly did at C2E2's Crown Championships of Cosplay this year! Cosplayer Sara Spookystitch created a massive Gengar cosplay that looks ready to use the move Scary Face on us!

This big, huggable Pokemon measures at over six feet tall and six feet wide. Seeing Gengar walk around the con floor is definitely a spectacle, especially if it's that massive of a costume. The costume also had two handlers that would help Sara get into elevators, seeing that it would be near impossible to get onto an escalator.

The costume is constructed from a soft foam, mounted on a backpack harness, and covered in soft fleece. We can certainly see why so many people at the con would want to run up and hug this Gengar cosplay (although seeing it in a dark alley at night may force us to go to a Pokemon battle instead).

The outer layer is entirely hand sewn, which took over 40 hours. The eyes glow with LED strips, and the entire costume took about two months to build. Seeing how massive this cosplay is and the fact that it only took two months to build is definitely impressive. It's not every day that you see a Pokemon cosplay at a con, let alone one that looks lifelike!
