International Cosplayer Yaya Han Reads Book & Answers Fans Questions

Yaya Han takes fans through her personal cosplay journey and read from her new book, Yaya Han's World of Cosplay: A Guide to Fandom Costume Culture.

During ReedPop Metaverse today, cosplay star Yaya Han hosted a live panel on New York Comic Con's YouTube channel. Similar to our live book reading and Q&A session back in April, Yaya promotes her cosplay book that she has been writing throughout most of last year. Her new book, Yaya Han's World of Cosplay: A Guide to Fandom Costume Culture, has just recently come out this month in the first week of August.

Yaya reads one chapter from her book that tackles her journey into cosplay, beginning with her first conventions where she would wear her first cosplays and make fanart of her favorite shows and sell her artwork at cons. Since then, Yaya has become an international cosplayer and one of the biggest faces of the cosplay community. She has been on the reality show Heroes of Cosplay, made patterns for the fabric pattern company McCalls, and also has her own fabric line that sells exclusively at JoAnn Fabrics.

In her live vido she also speaks to fans through the chat and answers many different questions such as how she started cosplaying, immigrating to America from Germany, and how cosplay gave her confidence to continue following her dreams.

Yaya's book covers both her personal life with cosplay, as well as differen't guides that can help cosplayers both beginners and pros. Be sure to watch her full Q&A with the video above, and don't forget to order her book that is now available on Amazon and give her a 5 star review!
